We lost our 13-year-old dog, Maggie Mae, in August and I know exactly what you are feeling. There are so many things that we can learn from dogs, and we are fortunate to be able to have such wonderful creatures as part of our lives, even if for so short a time. Having the children assist in raising a puppy is a wonderful experience. The bond between the children and the dog will be incredible.
