		<description>I will presume that you have not read the nearly 2000 pages of the House bill.  If you did, then you are way ahead of the House members who voted for it.  Even the New York Times, a public option aficionado, reported today on Page 1, what most us already believe – the plan won’t cut costs as promised.  For me, this plan is more an effort to strengthen the health of the government than it is to protect our health.  The Senate will be a very tough slog for public optioners.  The only bill that matters will be the one to emerge from the House-Senate conference, if and when the Senate passes its version.  As for Senator Hatch’s prayer proposal, let’s not deride it just yet.
